Experience
Mr. Shahbaz has extensive experience in
the structural design and geotechnical engineering of buildings, bridges
and special structures. He has testified on geotechnical and structural
aspects on several projects, both in county-level district courts, and
before arbitration panels, as an expert in these fields. As President and
Director of Engineering of the multidiscipline consulting engineering firm
of TS&A, he has managed the engineering of, and designed the
structural portion of residential, commercial, institutional projects as
well as heavy/highway projects, with total construction cost of more than
$2 Billion.
Extensive experience in design, analysis,
value engineering and forensic evaluation of various types of structures;
deep foundation systems, sheeting/shoring and other earth retaining
systems, concrete rehabilitation, structural steel rehabilitation,
reinforced concrete structures, steel structures, composite structures,
post-tensioned concrete structures, geotechnical and geological
explorations and engineering, steel girder bridges, concrete box-girder
bridges, wood structures, masonry structures, and special structures such
as towers, tanks, light-gauge metal trusses, etc.
As a Project Engineer at a major highway
Construction Company, Mr. Shahbaz managed the estimating, bidding,
contracting, and construction of several bridge projects.
As a structural engineer at a major
utilities and power plant engineering and construction firm Mr. Shahbaz
designed components of nuclear and fossil fuel power plants and
participated in a retrofit program mandated by the government to upgrade
the structural components of power plant facilities.
